Summary/
Abstract
After graduation and his national service year, Edward Okoli accepted a job offer from Globe Pharmaceuticals. The offer met all his criteria. He performed well and was promoted to higher levels of responsibility. Foreign competition threatened the survival of the pharmaceutical industry as imported drugs chased out locally produced ones. Managers left the industry in droves. Within a year of getting married, Edward decides to leave his company and the industry. It takes him two years to find another job. The case offers an opportunity for the discussion of personal career planning and review.
