Summary/
Abstract
The Sensational Foods (SF) business is about a small entrepreneurial restaurant that had grown over the years into 12 outlets largely through the proceeds from the business and commitment of the owner-manager. The unique nature of the business rested on the type of menu offered. While the pack of the competition focused largely on pastries and a rice-chicken based menu, SF concentrated on producing and serving Nigerian traditional cuisine, which endeared the business to quite a lot of customers. Of late the other competitors had veered into traditional meals and had heightened competition in the Lagos state and the other states of Nigeria. SF was now poised to expand but was worried about the increasing cost of operations and some non-standardised service processes. The teaching note includes the teaching strategy covering the one hour fifteen minutes of the session and not just the solution set of data.
