Abstract
In 1999, Dunlop’s management decided to defend their volume by lowering their price. To effectively accomplish their strategy, Dunlop adopted a series of initiatives that were to boost sales and reduce operational costs. By following this strategy, it achieved its targets. To achieve this growth, however, Dunlop needed to address two major constraints, both involving heavy financial investments.
