Summary:Hosted by the School of Business of the University of Nairobi and the Program Committee of the 1st annual African International Business and Management (AIBUMA), registrations are now open for the first annual AIBUMA conference between Wednesday, August 25th, and 27th August 2010 in Nairobi at the Kenyatta International Conference Centre, Nairobi, Kenya.

Hosted by the University of Nairobi Business School, the AIBUMA Conference seeks to establish itself as an important forum for policy-makers, scholars and business leaders to gather and exchange ideas on current trends of business and management knowledge and practices in the economies of Africa. To this end, this year’s conference, titled “Knowledge and Innovation Leadership for Competitiveness” intends to highlight Africa’s emergence from the recent global economic problems and also to highlight the complex issues still troubling the region’s economy. The conference intends to explore regionalism and how adoption and adaptation of business and management practices in different parts of Africa are influencing the emergence of various African countries from the global economic ‘meltdown. The conference also intends to explore, Africa’s increasing capabilities as an innovator, and several other areas that will prove to be the cornerstones of tomorrow’s economy.
