Teaching the Practice of Management 8 (TPM8)
This will be the eigth Africa-wide workshop to be held, focusing on “practice-based” teaching methods for African management and business school faculty. The term “practice-based” encompasses discussion, participant-centered and case teaching methods which enable students to develop judgment and problem-solving skills in the classroom. Students wrestle with management issues and decisions through the use of case studies and class discussions.
The workshop addresses the changing needs of teachers of Management for Africa’s new generation of business and community leaders. It provides a dynamic platform for faculty from business schools in Africa to explore practice-based learning in an intensive and interactive environment.
Strathmore Business School in Nairobi, Kenya will host TPM 8 with the workshop taking place from the 19th to the 25th July 2012.
