Air Namibia is adopting new policies for increasing efficiency and profitability since 2012. This case study shows how adopting an all-inclusive SWOT approach would enable it to fly higher and attain well its organisational goals and objectives.

When you run an organisation, one is likely to have many issues which need attention and prioritisation. More so, it is true when it a complex organization like that of airlines. Airlines, not only has diverse mix of people who bring a range of skills, attributes and personalities to the workplace, employed in the home base but also in many diverse locations, all around the world. An airline’s whose work is predominantly ‘in the air’ would have activities ranging from flying, maintenance, cargo handling, ticketing to all other functional areas like fiancé, marketing, human resources, etc. This case study shows how Air Namibia is organising itself to make the most effective use of its resources and how in particular adopting strengths, weakness, opportunities, threats (SWOT) approach would enable it to fly higher and achieve its organisational goals and objectives.
