Dr. Michael M. GoldmanEditor-in-Chief, Emerging Markets Case Studies; and Associate Professor, University of San Francisco
Michael is an award-winning marketing teacher, researcher and advisor, based in California at the University of San Francisco’s Sport Management Master’s Program. He holds an Adjunct Faculty role with the Gordon Institute of Business Science in Johannesburg, is the Editor-in-Chief of Emerald Publishing’s Emerging Markets Case Studies collection, and is the President of the North American Case Research Association. His research has been published in, among others, the California Management Review, Management Decision, European Sport Management Quarterly, International Journal of Sports Marketing & Sponsorship, and the Case Research Journal. From advising the MTN Group on leveraging their FIFA World Cup sponsorship, to upskilling relationship managers at Barclays and Safaricom in Kenya, to developing sales skills workshops with the Los Angeles Clippers, Michael has worked with students, managers and clients to enhance their abilities to acquire, grow and retain profitable customers.

James Hobbs is Commissioning Lead for Cases at Emerald Publishing. Starting at Emerald in November 2021, he works in acquisitions for Emerald’s proprietary products The Case For Women, The CASE Journal and Emerging Markets Case Studies.
