Video Conferencing Initiative with African Business Schools

AUC School of Business is targeting to expand in Africa as part of its internationalization strategy and would like to bring the African experience to our students in classrooms through videoconferencing sessions.

The School’s internationalization strategy CDG is built on three cornerstones: Connect- Diversify-Glocalize (CDG) whereby the School fosters an intercultural learning experience focusing on the Arab region and Africa.

Dr.Hamed Shamma, Associate Professor of Marketing and BP Endowed Chair at the School of Business, is going to be part of this initiative piloting it in one of his marketing classes. He is teaching this semester the principle of marketing and consumer-buyer behavior courses.

Next Steps:

  • Identify interested African Business Schools faculty/executives to participate in the initiative
  • No infrastructure is required, sessions will be held through Zoom link; a computer with a camera and internet access is all that is required.
